Stibo Systems acts as the system of record for product attributes such as names, descriptions, dimensions, compliance details, and category assignments. When new or updated product records are approved in Stibo, the relevant content can be sent to Lionbridge for translation into required market languages. This ensures localization starts from governed, approved master data rather than manually copied content.
After Lionbridge completes translation and linguistic review, localized product content can be returned to Stibo Systems for validation, version control, and distribution to downstream channels. This supports a governed workflow where translated content is stored alongside the master product record and only published after approval.
When an organization enters a new country or language market, Stibo Systems can identify the product set and attributes required for that market and send them to Lionbridge for translation. Lionbridge returns localized content that can be loaded back into Stibo and then distributed to commerce, ERP, or PIM channels. This creates a repeatable onboarding process for each market launch.
When regulated or customer-facing product attributes change in Stibo Systems, such as ingredient statements, safety notes, warranty terms, or compliance text, the updated fields can automatically trigger translation requests in Lionbridge. This ensures that only changed content is translated, reducing cost and turnaround time while maintaining accuracy for critical information.
Stibo Systems can manage customer or account-related master data used in global portals, dealer sites, or service applications. Selected customer-facing labels, account descriptors, and reference content can be routed to Lionbridge for translation, then returned for use in multilingual digital experiences. This helps ensure that customer-facing master data is understandable and consistent across markets.
Stibo Systems can receive translation status updates from Lionbridge, such as in progress, completed, reviewed, or rejected. This gives master data and product teams visibility into which records are ready for publication in each language and which still require review. It also helps teams prioritize launches based on language readiness.
Stibo Systems can govern the approved source content while Lionbridge handles translation and linguistic quality assurance. Once localized content is returned, Stibo can distribute it to PIM, eCommerce, DAM, or CMS platforms through existing integrations. This creates a controlled multilingual content supply chain where governance and translation are connected end to end.
If Stibo Systems detects missing required fields, incomplete product records, or content exceptions, those records can be held from translation until the source data is corrected. Once the master data is completed and approved, the content can be sent to Lionbridge automatically. This prevents wasted translation effort on incomplete records and improves data quality before localization begins.
