When documents are added to an OpenText Extended ECM business workspace, they can be automatically sent to OpenText Magellan Risk Guard for content analysis. Risk Guard identifies sensitive, restricted, or non-compliant information such as personal data, confidential clauses, or regulated terms before the content is broadly shared.
Magellan Risk Guard can continuously scan documents stored in workspaces tied to customers, projects, or cases and flag content that may violate policy or regulatory requirements. The results can be written back into the workspace as metadata, alerts, or task triggers so business users can take action in context.
When Magellan Risk Guard detects a policy violation in a workspace document, it can trigger a remediation workflow in Extended ECM. The workflow may route the item to legal, privacy, or information governance teams for review, redaction, approval, or removal, while preserving an audit trail in the workspace.
Extended ECM business workspaces can be enriched with risk scores from Magellan Risk Guard based on the content stored in each workspace. For example, a customer workspace with sensitive contracts, complaints, or regulated correspondence can be marked as high risk and prioritized for review.
Before documents from a workspace are shared externally or attached to downstream business processes, Magellan Risk Guard can inspect them for confidential or regulated information. If issues are found, the document can be held for approval or redaction before release.
For active cases or projects, Extended ECM can send newly added or updated content to Magellan Risk Guard on a scheduled or event-driven basis. This enables ongoing monitoring of evolving workspaces where risk can change as new documents, emails, or attachments are added.
Extended ECM can store the documents and business context needed for audits, investigations, or regulatory reviews, while Magellan Risk Guard adds risk indicators and classification results. Together, they create an audit-ready workspace that shows not only what content exists, but also what risks were identified and how they were handled.
In ERP or CRM-integrated workspaces, Magellan Risk Guard can detect risky attachments such as contracts, invoices, claims files, or customer correspondence. Extended ECM can then route exceptions to the appropriate business owner for review, while keeping the content linked to the original transaction record.
