Data flow: Axiell to Slack
When a new object record is created, a metadata field is updated, or a preservation task is completed in Axiell, Slack posts an alert to the relevant channel such as #collections or #archives. This keeps curators, registrars, and collection managers informed without requiring them to log into Axiell constantly.
Data flow: Axiell to Slack
When digital preservation actions are due, failed, or completed in Axiell, Slack can notify the responsible staff in a dedicated operations channel. For example, if a file format validation fails or a preservation package needs review, the team receives an immediate message with the record reference and next step.

When a collection item is ready for public access, Axiell can send an approval request to Slack for review by curators, rights holders, or communications staff. Team members can discuss the item in Slack and then trigger an approval or rejection action back in Axiell.

If Axiell identifies a rights issue, embargo, or access restriction on a digital asset or collection record, it can post an exception notice to Slack for legal, rights management, and collections teams. The message can include the affected record, restriction reason, and required action.

Staff can submit research or reference requests in Slack, and a workflow can create or update a corresponding record in Axiell. This is useful for museum or archive teams handling internal requests for object details, provenance checks, or digitization status.
Data flow: Bi directional
When new digital assets are ingested into Axiell through OneTeg or another connected platform, Slack can notify the digitization team that metadata review is needed. Team members can then discuss missing fields, naming conventions, or quality issues in Slack and update the record in Axiell once resolved.
Data flow: Axiell to Slack
Axiell can send scheduled summaries to Slack showing items processed, preservation jobs completed, records awaiting review, or assets published during the week. This gives managers and department leads a quick operational view without requiring separate reports.

If Axiell detects a failed preservation process, missing file, broken link, or access issue on a public record, it can escalate the incident to a Slack incident channel. The alert can include severity, affected collection, and assigned owner so the right team can respond immediately.
